The African Youth Parliament for Water is a youth-led, gender balanced, non-profit organization focused on water and sanitation development, climate change, and youth unemployment. We are partnering with several local and international organizations to lead sustainable development events and campaigns targeted in Africa.

The network consists of :

National-level representatives (the national youth parliaments) to implement the objectives within their countries.

Sub-regional representatives (e.g., West Africa, North Africa etc.) to summarize/record results from the countries within their region. This will provide potential partners/investors with quick visibility on our progress.

Regional-level representatives who organize the internal structure of the AYPW and deal with partners on international and continental level to facilitate exchanges with the national parliaments.

Our goal

We want youth parliaments to become officially recognized and part of the respective local governments that besides local action, are on top of implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the youth policies. Both go hand in hand; we could only assess the added value of local action projects if we understand the status of the policies and what was successfully implemented or not.

Our mission

We want to facilitate exchanges between our local youth parliaments and their local governments to officially collaborate on review, implementation and monitoring of youth policies and water-related policies relating to our 3 objectives.
