Water is life and youth is the future

The African Youth Parliament for Water

The African Youth Parliament for Water is a youth-led, gender balanced, non-profit organization focused on water and sanitation development, climate change, and youth unemployment. Founded in 2022, as an arm of the World Youth Parliament for Water, we are dedicated to promoting collaboration between local governments and youth parliaments to rethink youth policies.

We are working towards 3 objectives

What we are doing

Looking forward to the United Nations 2023 Water Conference…

The African Youth Parliament for Water will participate in the UN Water Conference held in New York, from 22 to 24 March 2023.

…by planning our hybrid session…

In collaboration with the national youth parliaments, we are drafting a report to synthesize the status of African youth policies in each country.

This work will be presented and discussed during a hybrid interactive session gathering youth on a transnational level.

…to prepare for our Regional Event

The report will be shared during the Conference to the 54 African delegations to promote collaboration on the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of these youth and water policies.

This is made possible thanks to the support of the International Secretariat for Water-Solidarity Water Europe, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, Agence de l’eau ArtoisPicardie and the Netherlands Entreprise Agency.

Our partners

The African Youth Parliament for Water is honored and thankful to be supported by valuable partners and working with committed youth parliaments.
